North Morowali – PT Agro Nusa Abadi (ANA) organized safety training activities for staff of Community Health Center (puskesmas) Molino, East Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi.
This training focused on preparation and anticipation of fire, which was held on November 18, 2023 at the Molino Health Center.
This activity aims to provide understanding and train all UPT Puskesmas Molino staff to be able to use APAR (light fire extinguisher) appropriately and correctly. In addition, it also improves skills to deal with fires on a small scale.
Parties who attended this activity included internal companies, namely Prima Juandana (PT ANA’s Polibun doctor), Ahmad Nur (PT ANA’s Fire assistant), and Ade Sunarto (PT ANA’s CSR assistant). From external companies, I Wayan Sudiantara (Head of UPT Puskesmas Molino) and all staff of Puskesmas Molino were present.
I Wayan Sudiantara, Head of UPT Puskesmas Molino, thanked PT ANA for their attention and concern to carry out socialization and simulation activities to understand how to use APAR at the Technical Service Unit (UPT) Puskesmas Molino.
In the same place, Achmad Nur, as the Fire Assistant of PT ANA, expressed his hope that all staff of UPT Puskesmas Molino can be alert to anticipate fires. Starting from the smallest possible incident to knowledge about fire prevention and suppression techniques in the work environment and at home.
After attending this training, it is hoped that Puskesmas staff will have sufficient knowledge and skills so that they can handle fire management problems in the workplace, including administrative activities, identification of hazardous sources, inspection, maintenance, and repair of fire protection systems.
During the activity, participants conducted simulations and fire fighting training using a Light Fire Extinguisher (APAR) and wet towels. This activity was attended by all leaders and staff of the UPT Puskesmas Molino, East Petasia District.
In this activity, there are five important things related to safety at the health center, namely: Patient safety, Health worker safety, Safety of buildings and equipment at the health center which has an impact on the safety of patients and staff, Environmental safety (green productivity) which has an impact on environmental pollution, and Safety of the health center “business” which is related to the survival of the health center.
This safety aspect is very important to be implemented in every health center in North Morowali Regency.(*)
