METRO SULTENG – PT Agro Nusa Abadi (ANA) has conducted a roadshow program to hand over achievement scholarships in 2023 in Bungintimbe Village, East Petasia District, North Morowali Regency, Central Sulawesi.
This program is a form of concern for education in the plantation area. For one week, PT ANA established direct relationships with the community, students, and parents in the assisted schools.
In an effort to improve the quality of education, PT ANA through the Astra Cerdas program has provided achievement scholarships to 146 students from 15 fostered schools.
The recipient schools cover various levels of education, ranging from elementary to vocational schools. It involves 108 elementary level students, 24 junior high level students, 6 high school level students, and 8 vocational level students.
The program is aimed at outstanding students in the hope of providing much-needed motivation and financial support.
The Head of East Petasia Sub-District, Hamja, appreciated PT ANA’s commitment in the CSR program in the field of education, especially in the midst of difficult conditions. Bungintimbe Village Secretary, Syamsuddin, also expressed his gratitude for PT ANA’s role in supporting education.
“PT ANA is the only company that consistently pays attention to education and health in the region,” said East Petasia Sub-District Head Hamja, who also agreed with Bungintimbe Village Secretary Syamsuddin.
The sub-district head hopes that the scholarship distribution is not just a CSR program, but also part of the company’s commitment to supporting education in the area around the plantation. Because what PT ANA is doing, according to the East Petasia sub-district head, is a concrete step in realizing the company’s concern and responsibility for the community in the education sector.
PT ANA’s CSR Assistant, Ade Sunarto, hoped that the scholarships would motivate students to achieve higher and face increasingly tough educational challenges in the future.
It is said that the roadshow of achievement scholarship by PT ANA in Bungintimbe Village is not just a ceremonial event, but a real commitment in supporting education in the plantation area.
Involving various parties, both internal and external, hopefully PT ANA will have a significant positive impact on the community and the next generation.
“The hope for the future is this spirit of concern will continue, bring positive changes, and become an inspiration for other companies,” said Ade, recently.
All parties, Ade continued, including parents, teachers, and companies, are expected to continue working together to support and motivate students to improve their achievements at school.
Also attending the scholarship handover ceremony from the company were ADM PT ANA Dani Sitorus, KTU PT ANA Apriyadi.
Principals of elementary, junior high, and high schools were also present at the event. ***
