We continue to improve the environment through rehabilitation initiatives in operational landscapes, with an emphasis on riparian regions and mangroves, and we do not use chemical fertilization (inorganic fertilizers) in riparian areas. We also endeavor to create green open spaces around mills, housing, and other open areas, especially in subsidiaries without streams or mangroves.
Since 2010, more than 600,000 hardwood trees have been planted across the subsidiaries’ concessions. So far, the results of our planting have been very favorable. For our efforts, one of our subsidiaries received the Kalpataru award in 2014 from the North Mamuju Regency Government.
