JAKARTA – Astra Agro Lestari Foundation Students are getting achievement in National Education field once again. Astra Agro Lestari Midleschool Team and Astra Makmur Jaya Middleschool Team which located near plantation of Astra Agro Lestari Group Subsidiary outperform other contestant and win Lomba Penelitian Siswa Nasional (National Student Research Contest).
At the contest which held by Indonesian Ministry of Culture and Education in October 9-13th 2017 at Jakarta, Astra Agro Lestari Middleschool Team located at PT Agro Menara Rahmat, Pangkalan Bun, Kalimantan Tengah, won gold medal, and Astra Makmur Jaya Middleschool Team which located at PT Letawa, Mamuju Utara, Sulawesi Barat,won bronze medal.
‘We would like to say thank you to all the parties, especially all the teacher at plantation that passionately teach and prepare the students to become a character, clever, creative and independent being,” Said Joko Subagio Head of Education Department Astra Agro Lestari Tbk. This achievement, he said, will be one of trigger in Astra Agro commitment to increase the quality of their schools in the plantation and can compete with the national top notch school.
Rizka Pratama Nurrila Sari with the help of her mentor, Heru Oktavianto from Astra Agro Lestari Middleschool was presenting study titled “ Analysis of Palm Oil and Cow Integraton to Build Student Critical Thinking”. Meanwhile M. Bagas Kurniawan with his mentor Rizky Ilman from Astra Makmur Jaya Middleschoolwas presenting “Collecting Muara Jono Economy through Silfufishery Mangrove”.
LPSN is an annual contest held to appriciate student innovation, invention, and creation in science and technology. Selesction process are very strict. It’s tiered from the district level, province and then national. There are 3 categories which contested, Science, Social Science, Art and Humanity, and Technology and Engineering.(*)
