Celebrates World Environment Day, Astra Agro Lestari’s subsidiary, PT Sukses Tani Nusasubur (STN), in Labangka Village, Babulu District, Penajam Paser Utara Regency (PPU), East Kalimantan (Kaltim), planted fruit trees in the PT STN area, covering 0.14 hectares.

The event was attended by Victor Aybund, Administrator of PT STN; Zakaria, Sustainability/CSR of PT STN; and staff of PT STN.
Victor Aybund said that the action of environmental conservation and ecosystem restoration of unmanaged or unplanted oil palm land in PT STN is the implementation of PT STN’s environmental social responsibility (CSR) program in commemoration of World Environment Day. It is also a form of the company’s commitment to realizing sustainable plantations.
“Consistently, the company continues implementing environmental conservation programs that have become annual routine programs. This policy aligns with the company’s commitment to supporting the government in reducing carbon emissions and implementing sustainable development goals in the environmental development pillar,” he said.
“In this activity, PT STN conducted reforestation by planting various fruit plants. This is also in line with the East Kalimantan Provincial Government’s policy in supporting increased productivity for inclusive and sustainable economic transformation,” Victor Aybund continued.
Through this activity, PT STN hopes to contribute positively to preserving the environment and raising awareness of the importance of handling the climate crisis innovatively and fairly.
