PT Sawit Jaya Abadi 2 (PT SJA 2) fulfils its social responsibility by focusing on the local community’s health. The Astra Agro group oil palm plantation company routinely provides additional food (PMT) for infants and toddlers at the Integrated Healthcare Center of Madoro Transmigration Village.
This activity, part of the Astra Sehat Program, aims to improve Integrated Healthcare Center services and the Company’s efforts to prevent stunting. In July 2024, the village treasurer transferred the funds in the third week for their intended use.
“PT SJA 2 continues to support us, especially in the health sector, so we feel cared for and helped,” said Yessi Octora, Integrated Healthcare Center Cadre Trans Madoro.
Meanwhile, PT SJA 2 CSR Assistant Elberto Tarigan, said that the provision of additional food is a form of PT SJA 2’s attention to the fulfilment of infant and toddler nutrition in the environment around the Company, especially in Madoro Transmigration Village.
The additional food assistance is distributed through funding, which Integrated Healthcare Center cadres will then use to buy necessities and process them into additional food to nourish infants and toddlers to prevent stunting.
“With the provision of this Supplementary Food, we hope that there will be no more malnourished babies and toddlers, especially in Madoro Transmigration Village,” said Elberto.(*)
