PT Pasangkayu, a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro Lestari, assists the poultry farming groups in Ako Village, a village located in Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi.
PT Pasangkayu’s CSR team regularly assists poultry farming groups by providing poultry feed, mentoring, cleaning, and poultry farming related equipment. Agling, The Head of Ako Village, thanked PT Pasangkayu for assisting their community.
“Hopefully, the relationship between the company and village residents will always be maintained, and this assistance will have a good impact, especially on the poultry farming development activity in this village, and we are very grateful. We wish the best for PT Pasangkayu,” he said.
Meanwhile, Gunawan, the Administrative Manager (ADM) of PT Pasangkayu, stated that the coaching activity for the poultry farming group is a form of PT Pasangkayu’s commitment to participating in building and improving the welfare of the Pasangkayu Regency community, especially the residents of Ako Village.
“We hope that our assistance for the Ako Village poultry farm will help the business grow, thus empowering the Ako Village community economically,” said Gunawan.
The Ako Village poultry farming group received additional assistance from PT Pasangkayu’s CSR and CDO teams, through collaboration with multiple parties to conduct various coaching and mentoring activities for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as a form of PT Pasangkayu’s commitment and concern for the community.
“The Astra Agro Lestari group company aims to improve the welfare of local communities.” said Juanda Syahputra, PT Pasangkayu’s CDO.
According to him, the PT Pasangkayu CSR Team’s efforts and assistance include a routine cleaning of chicken coops, providing quality feed, providing drinking water to fulfil nutrition, improving ventilation to maintain air quality, and providing vaccines and vitamins by involving veterinarians from the Plantation and Livestock Service Office of Pasangkayu Regency.
“The feed given to the poultry must contain balanced nutritional elements, such as protein, energy vitamins, minerals and water,” he said.
Juanda highlighted the importance of discipline in feeding chickens punctually, ensuring they have access to clean drinking water throughout the day. This is essential for their basic needs and growth, allowing them to produce eggs optimally.
“This CSR is part of the Astra Kreatif program, aimed at supporting entrepreneurial actors through PT Pasangkayu, to enhance the economy and welfare of the community surrounding the company.” Said Juanda.
