PT Lestari Tani Teladan (PT LTT) celebrated a significant achievement by qualifying as a finalist in the national student literature competition (LS2N). Syafiya Ramadhani Kaleb, an outstanding student from SD PT LTT, excelled in the elementary-level storywriting category. She successfully passed the provincial preliminary round and represented Central Sulawesi Province in the finals, which took place at The Acacia Hotel in Jakarta.
During the closing ceremony held at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) on December 3, 2024, Dr. Maria Veronica Irene Herdjiono, M.Si., the Head of the National Achievement Center, expressed her appreciation for all competition participants and pride in the students who were selected to represent their provinces.
“This LS2N competition includes four categories: story writing at the elementary level, storytelling at the elementary level, story writing at the junior high level, and storytelling at the junior high level. Congratulations; among 4,712 registered participants, you are part of the 196 selected to be here,” Dr. Maria stated enthusiastically.
Hasniati, the head of PT Lestari Tani Teladan Elementary School, congratulated Syafiya on her accomplishment as a national finalist. Accompanied by her teacher, Azidania Rifa’atul Khasanah, she travelled to Jakarta for the event. “I hope Syafiya’s achievement serves as an example and motivation for other students interested in writing to study and practice more diligently,” she remarked.
Hasniati noted that PT LTT Elementary School, located within the Astra Agro Lestari Group’s palm oil plantation in Donggala Regency, Central Sulawesi, is dedicated to nurturing students’ talents and potential across various fields, including literature. This achievement underscores the school’s commitment to fostering a creative and accomplished young generation.
“I am extremely grateful to be selected as a finalist in the national storywriting competition. I will use this valuable experience as motivation and a learning opportunity for the future,” Syafiya, a fourth-grade student at SD PT LTT, expressed.
The second child of Mr. Didi Novaldi Kaleb, Syafiya is a native of Sulawesi. She hails from the Tialo Tribe, one of the Indigenous tribes residing in the Parigi Moutong area of Central Sulawesi. She has a passion for writing and aspires to become a graphic designer.
Reflecting on her experience in Jakarta, Syafiya expressed her joy at meeting several national figures, including the Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, the Head of the National Achievement Center, the Head of the Language Development Agency, and various experts and special staff from the Ministry of Education and Culture.
The LS2N competition aims to provide a platform for talented students in literature to showcase their abilities. Through this initiative, students are encouraged to explore and express their creative ideas through literary works.
With Syafiya’s achievements, the school hopes to inspire other students to develop their potential further, particularly in the fields of literature and the arts.
