PT Cipta Agro Nusantara (CAN) proudly announced its recent initiative to award academic achievement scholarships to various schools under its stewardship, including elementary, junior high, and vocational institutions situated in Petumbea Village, Ronta, and Pontangoa, within the Lembo Raya District of North Morowali Regency (Morut). The formal presentation of these scholarships was held at the Lembo Raya Petumbea Vocational School on Wednesday, February 5, 2025.
This initiative forms a key component of the Astra Cerdas program, which aims to recognize and reward outstanding students. Scholarships are available for elementary school students (grades 1-6) and junior high school students (grades 1-3), acknowledging the top three achievers (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in competition) in each grade and those in vocational programs.
The event was attended by distinguished guests, including Rendy Heryandi Prabowo, Head of PT CAN Plantation; Lambang Mursito, Head of the Lembo Raya District; Ellen Masu, Korwas Disdikbud Morut; Drs Gede Mudana, CSR Assistant at PT ANA / PT CAN; as well as educators, parents, scholarship recipients, and other esteemed attendees.
During his remarks, Rendy Heryandi highlighted that this scholarship program is an integral aspect of PT CAN’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, particularly within Astra Cerdas’s education sector. The program is designed to provide vital support to the communities surrounding their oil palm plantations.
“PT CAN is steadfast in its commitment to collaborate with the Morut Regional Government (Pemda) in fostering a Healthy, Smart, and Prosperous (SCS) Morut community,” asserted Rendy Heryandi.
