PT Sari Lembah Subur (PT SLS), a subsidiary of Astra Agro Lestari, recently held a transformative fire prevention education activity for the children of Al-Ikhsan Kindergarten (TK) in Genduang Village, Pangkalan Lesung District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau.
This initiative aimed to instill an understanding of the firefighting profession and fire prevention measures from a young age.
Under the theme “Educational Adventure: Kindergarten Children Get to Know Fire Extinguishers and Fire Fighting Methods,” the children had the exciting opportunity to visit the PT SLS Fire Fighting Team. They learned about essential firefighting equipment, the correct actions to take during a fire, and the significance of respecting those who dedicate their lives to this noble profession.
“Thank you to the PT SLS Fire Team for sharing your invaluable knowledge with our children. With this understanding, we hope to cultivate a lifelong commitment to personal and family safety,” said Suprijatun, Head of Al-Ikhsan Kindergarten.
Tofan Hidayat, Sustainability Assistant at PT SLS, expressed how rewarding it was to introduce the firefighting profession to the youth. “The enthusiasm and keen understanding demonstrated by the children were truly inspiring. I hope this experience ignites a sense of respect and motivates them for the future. Thank you to everyone who supported this educational endeavor,” said Tofan.
Conducted on Thursday, February 26, this initiative marks a significant step in nurturing awareness of safety from an early age.
PT SLS remains dedicated to empowering the surrounding community with education that enhances safety and disaster preparedness.
