PT Gunung Sejahtera Dua Indah (GSDI) and PT Gunung Sejahtera Yoli Makmur (GSYM), part of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk, continue their commitment to supporting the welfare of the Umpang Village community in the Arut Selatan District of Kotawaringin Barat Regency, Central Kalimantan (Kalteng).
Recently, the company contributed to the renovation of a mosque in the village and organized a community sharing event during the holy month of Ramadan.
To aid the renovation efforts, PT GSDI and GSYM provided essential materials, including 50 sacks of cement, one truckload of sand, and 5.5 cubic meters of coral. This assistance is aimed at expediting the renovation process, allowing the community to worship in a more comfortable and solemn environment.
M. Arliansyah, the Head of Umpang Village, expressed gratitude for the company’s support in enhancing worship facilities. “We are very thankful for PT GSDI and GSYM’s concern for our religious sites. This assistance means a lot to the community, and we hope the company continues to engage in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs in the fields of religion, education, health, and infrastructure. The synergy between the company and the community is crucial for creating a better and more harmonious environment,” Arliansyah stated during an interview on Thursday, March 27, 2025.
In addition to the renovation support, the company held a gift-sharing event to assist local residents during Ramadan, further demonstrating its commitment to community welfare.
Galang Bayu Amanda Putra, an administrator at PT GSDI and GSYM, emphasized that the company is dedicated to providing benefits to the surrounding community. “We strive to implement activities that align with our sustainability goals, aiming to create added value for society. We believe that a company’s presence should generate a sustainable positive impact, not only economically but also socially and environmentally,” he explained.
