PT Mamuang, a subsidiary of PT Astra Agro (AAL) in the palm oil plantation industry, is reinforcing its commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR) by providing incentives to posyandu (integrated health service post) cadres and distributing 350 supplementary food packages (PMT) to the community.
This initiative aims to support maternal and child health, particularly in villages near the company’s operations, such as Pajalele Village in the Tikke Raya District of Pasangkayu Regency, West Sulawesi, on Thursday, March 20, 2025.
Dianti, the Head of the Village Government Section of Pajalele, expressed appreciation for PT Mamuang’s dedication to helping the community, noting that this assistance is very beneficial to its residents. “We greatly appreciate PT Mamuang’s initiative in providing incentives to posyandu cadres and PMT assistance in our village. This support is crucial for improving children’s nutrition and reducing the stunting rate,” he explained.
Muh Fathurrohman, the CSR Assistant of PT Mamuang, stated that the incentives are intended to improve the welfare of posyandu cadres who actively engage in community health services. “We are also providing PMT assistance to help reduce stunting rates and enhance the nutrition of children in the villages supported by PT Mamuang,” Fathurrohman mentioned in Pasangkayu on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
M Satria Abdi Catur Pamungkas, the Administrator of PT Mamuang, emphasized the vital role of posyandu cadres in maintaining public health. “The posyandu cadres work with high dedication to reach the community and deliver quality health services,” he explained. He also noted that these cadres often face challenges, including limited honorariums and inadequate resources. “Therefore, we recognize the need to support them so they can concentrate more on their duties,” Satria said.
In a separate statement, Agro Susanto, the Chief Development Officer of PT Mamuang, revealed that Pajalele Village is one of the six villages that PT Mamuang is committed to supporting.
